Kade Shannon, a Junior at Oak Grove verbally committed to play baseball for the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Warrior nation was alerted of Shannon’s commitment via a tweet on September 27. One reason Shannon decided to commit to ULL was because he “felt at home in Lafayette even though I’ve only been there once.”

Last season, Shannon played center field for the Warriors. He held a batting average of .329, and he had 28 hits and two home runs in a total of 33 games during his sophomore season.
