The 158th annual Mississippi State Fair will run Wednesday October 4- Sunday October 15, 2017. The State Fairgrounds are located in Jackson, Mississippi stretching across 105 acres of land.

This 11-day event not only provides carnival rides and delicious foods, but offers free entertainment every night featuring bands such as The Plain White T’s and Brian McKnight. Also on the grounds, are attractions such as a petting zoo, pig races, a sea lion exhibit, and many more.

Admission is only $5, not including a parking fee of $5 (FREE before 1pm). In the past, the fair has opened at 11am, and closed at 10pm, with hours varying on the weekend.
